Hiking Brainard Lake, Colorado
Indian Peaks Wilderness, July 27, 2010
We had several weeks in between our travel nursing assignments, so Jess and I went with my mother on our annual pilgrimage up to the Brainard Lake area to see the wild flowers blooming. As in the past several years, they didn't disappoint, and I even found a grouping of Colorado's state flower, the Columbine, where I'd seen them previously. It was a beautiful hike in one of Colorado's jewels.
