A Relaxing Experience In Laos
October 19 - 24, 2009

We only had five days in Laos, and it was much too short. I don't think we realized how relaxing the experience would be. At any rate, we came in through Vientaine, as we needed to get Vietnamese visas. Crossing the border into Laos was a poor experience, but from then on it only got better. We didn't stay in Vientaine, instead heading north to the little village of Vang Vieng, one of the most relaxing places we visited. We biked, hiked, swam, caved, and plenty more, then sadly we continued on the road to Luang Prabang. This charming if touristy village was our last destination, before boarding a plane that jumped us up to Hanoi, Vietnam. It was a short but delightful time in Laos.
