This day I followed the river's example and simply meandered along. I wasn't in any hurry at all, and ambled along the path, stopping to focus in on areas, simply enjoying the feeling in the air, the combination of crisp and refreshing and that strange warmness of fall. I stopped several times to get down, right on the ground, to see things from that perspective, which is where the photos of the mushrooms and lichens, the leaves and moss, came from.
