I was able to get under the flowers and photograph up through them, with the light directly coming at my camera. The challenge lay in trying to create pictures where individual flowers, even petals, were distinct, as the brightness of the flowers tended to cause them to blend their colors together. Another challenge was trying to avoid having much of the yard in the photos, as that wouldn't have added a positive effect.
