There is no confusing the instruments found in Gravensteen Castle were for anything but war, murder, and mayhem. There were numerous weapons, as well as instruments of torture, and graphic depictions of the methods. What caused the most impact was how methodical, how devoted, and how evil the officials were at their torture and execution methods. It was as real as you'd want it to be.
