The snoot is what creates the very focused light above in my face. For all of these pictures, I am using two flashes, one on each side of my face, set at varying strengths. I can also use a third flash. Some of the images, like the first two above, has one flash reflecting from an umbrella, and the other shooting straight at my face through the snoot. The third shot, I have put some colored gel paper in front of the flash facing me to create the color effect. An important aspect is the strength of the light from the flashes, which can make or ruin a shot.
