The more that we walked, the more that I regretted having little knowledge of the city, because it obviously had a lot of churches, statues, Roman relics, and so on that could be quite interesting. Yet that would have interferred with the flow of our trip, which largely involved just winging it. Still we had to buy a little book about the city, just to sate our curiousity.
