We eventually arrived and almost immediately crashed, being completely exhausted. The next day we headed back towards Lake Balaton, and became very enchanted with the Badacsony wine region. We made several stops at small family vineyards, buying a few bottles here and there. We visited a crumbling castle in the tiny village of Szigliget. We even found a pension in Badacsonytomaj where we arranged to return for a night in a couple of days.
