I always like to see some wildlife on hikes as well. I was hoping to see some reptiles, and was rewarded by seeing more than a dozen turtles sunning themselves in the sun. I was also hoping to see a snake or two, but only saw a few lizards. I also saw a number of birds, including a beautiful cardinal, a bird we don't have in Colorado.
