Niagra Falls itself is quite beautiful. The falls are very unique, and there's certainly a power, an energy about them. You can feel it, the power of billions of gallons of water pouring down the falls. Yet you don't want to look behind you, at the gaudy crapfest that has been built up. It's like a carnival, only more ugly and ridiculous. It only takes away from the experience.
