I hadn't been to most of the states, so that was all part of the goal. Besides that, it was a chance to visit New England. Next time, I'd fly into Ottawa, and then head out directly to spend a week or two camping, hiking, and canoeing around Algonquin Park. Or, I'd fly into Vermont, and spend a week or two there and in upstate NY. Finally, it was a great chance to spend time with my parents, which I enjoyed greatly.
