That night I was too cheap to spring for a hotel, so I slept in the van. The coppers found me, though, and made me move, so I ended up parked in a baseball field parking lot. That was a cold night. I woke up early, went for breakfast, and then drove up through NY into Delaware, where I met my parents almost to the minute they walked out of the terminal.
